Stylish, modern, luxurious and now more spacious. Inside, occupants are pampered with an infusion of hi-tech and traditional materials; brushed aluminium, sumptuous leather and woodgrain panelling. A centrally mounted reversing camera, comprehensive instrumentation, climate control, premium in-dash 6CD stacker CD with 10 speakers and privacy screens complete the interior.

Satellite Navigation. Legend's satellite navigation system can guide you – turn by turn – to virtually anywhere in Australia. This fully integrated system continually calculates your location and the shortest, fastest route to your destination. Clear verbal instructions and on-screen information guide you every step of the way.

Climate Control. The dual mode/dual zone climate control system is both vertically and horizontally independent, allowing driver and front passenger to set their own temperature and vent settings. Sensitive to sunlight, it uses optical sensors to determine the sun’s position, adjusting the interior climate accordingly.

Ambient Lighting. Blue ambient cabin lighting imparts a sense of style and extends to the console, switches, front footwells, door handles, storage compartments, glovebox and armrests. The interior lights feature “theatre dimming,” which can be set to any of several rates via the Multi-information display.

Electric Rear Sunshade. An electric rear sunshade is easily activated by a switch on the driver's overhead console. When 'reverse' gear is selected, it automatically retracts to allow clear rear vision. For greater passenger comfort on sunny days, the Legend also has manually operated sunshades for each rear side window.

Power retractable headrests. When there are no rear-seat passengers, the three rear headrests can be remotely lowered by the driver with a touch of a button for improved rearward visibility. When carrying rear seat passengers, they can be raised manually for use.

Power heated seats. Both driver and passenger enjoy luxurious heated seats with 10-way power adjustments (8-way Power Seat with 2-Way Power Lumbar Support) for just the right seating position. They also have power adjustments for backward, forward and seatback angles.

Active Noise Cancellation. The Legend's Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) system reduces unwanted cabin noise by as much as 10dB. A pair of ceiling-mounted microphones monitor low-frequency noise in the cabin. When sound is detected, the ANC unit sends an opposite phase signal through the Legend's audio system at an inaudible volume, effectively cancelling out the original sound. It all happens automatically, whether the audio system is switched on or off.

Elegant from any angle. The new Legend delivers excellent aerodynamics and reduced rear lift at high speeds. It’s more athletic style foreshadows the power beneath the new blow-formed aluminum hood. Taut and athletic, its acceleration and cornering performance allow it to challenge the most capable sports sedans.

Sophisticated meets smart. Where the Legend really shines, though, is with its smarts. Take, for example, its Active Front Lighting System (AFS) and High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights. Depending on which way the car is turning, AFS enables either one of the "daylightlike" headlights to swivel outwards, to light up larger areas of road surface on bends. Other touches include rain-sensitive wipers and illuminated door handles.

Flush side glass. Normally, a gap exists between the side glass and the B-pillar. On the Legend, the window guide is on the glass instead of the window frame, meaning there is no gap. This reduces wind noise and gives a cleaner, high-quality appearance.

Rain-sensing wipers. Hidden pivots and arms for the speed-sensing, variable intermittent and rain sensitive wipers, clean a larger area of the windscreen and provide enhanced outward visibility and pedestrian safety in the event of a collision.

Dual exhaust. The Legend's rear profile is finished off with striking dual chrome exhaust pipes, stylishly integrated into each corner of the rear bumper. It gives a subtle hint of its performance-oriented nature.

LED taillights. Besides providing a high-tech look, LED lights react quicker (they turn on/off much quicker than traditional bulbs) and produce crisper illumination which translates to greater visibility and improved safety.

Electric sunroof. The Legend's electric glass sunroof allows you to enjoy a fresh perspective from above without having to leave the comfort of the cabin. It includes tilt or slide functions, and includes an integrated sunblind.

Front & rear fog lights. Not only does the Legend feature High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights with Active Front lighting System (AFS), it also has bright 55-watt fog lights as standard for superior night-time visibility.

Heated mirrors. Heating elements keep the side mirrors clear during inclement weather, and the integrated side indicators make your turning intentions clear. When 'reverse' gear is engaged, the passenger-side mirror tilts downward to help the driver view a potential blind spot.

Illuminated door handles. When remotely unlocking the Legend, discrete LED lights illuminate all external door handles. Honda have included this small touch of luxury to make it easier to find the handle in the dark.

Helping to make the world a better place. At Honda we focus on the need to increase fuel efficiency to reduce CO2 emissions, improve the efficiency of the internal combustion engine, continue to expand hybrid vehicle technology, and develop new, non-fossil fuel energy sources, including the ultimate solution, the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle.

Drive Every Drop. Building a powerful engine is one thing, but our engineers also made the Legend’s SOHC VTEC V6 smart enough to use just 11.3 litres of fuel per 100km.*

Exterior Paint. The innovative, environmentally conscious paint layering process used for the Legend includes water polishing between coats. The primer-surfacer (PS) is hand sanded to ensure a smooth surface for better appearance. After a waterborne colour basecoat (BC) is applied, a pair of clear coats provide depth. This helps to protect the base coat from air pollution, acid rain and fog and gives a very high resistance to scratches, whilst still delivering brilliant colour and lustre.

Low-emissions Vehicle status. Although the new Legend is the most powerful production engine we have ever made, it meets EURO 4 emissions standards and is an LEV (low emission vehicle).

Our commitment to minimising waste. Honda has long been proactive in implementing product recycling. In 1991 we began recovering and recycling replacement bumpers and in 1998 launched the sale of remanufactured parts. In 2004 we began recovering and recycling automobile oil filters.

Honda independently implements advanced recycling measures, minimizing the raw materials used in product creation, in every stage of the life cycle of Honda products. Again and again, Honda has been first among Japan’s leading automakers to take action on recycling.

Performance & Handling. The Honda Legend has never been shy of flexing its muscle when the situation demands it, and this latest model is no exception. The 3.7 litre SOHC VTEC V6 is the most powerful production engine we’ve ever built. Of course, power is of little use without control, so the Legend is equipped with Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD). The result, a ride that is incredibly safe and precise.

All Power and Torque. An increased output of 226kW at 6300rpm of power and greater lower end torque (370Nm at 5000rpm to be precise), make this new Legend significantly quicker off the mark.

5-speed auto with Grade Logic and Shift-Hold Control. Power is delivered smoothly thanks to the 5-Speed Sequential SportShift automatic transmission with an advanced Grade Logic System and Shift-Hold Control, both of which work to reduce gear 'hunting' and unnecessary changes.

3.7L SOHC V6 VTEC 226kW Engine. The most powerful production engine we’ve ever built. But if you’re after an engine with a conspicuous growl, you’d better look elsewhere. Because as soon as the Legend’s engine starts, so too does Honda’s ingenious Active Noise Cancellation system, dulling low frequency exhaust noise to a pleasant purr.

New Paddle Shifters. If it’s excitement you’re craving, steering wheel mounted paddle shifter controls let you change gears without taking your hands off the wheel, for a Formula One inspired performance.

Drive-by-wire Throttle. Drive-by wire (DBW) technology replaces the conventional throttle cable with an all electronic system that uses input from engine and chassis sensors to deliver incredibly precise acceleration.

Suspension. Racing-inspired front double-wishbone suspension and rear multi-link provides a distinctly linear steering feel while cornering with more precision and confidence.

Standard 18" Wheels. A sports sedan should deliver superior cornering precision and here, the Legend excels, riding on stylish 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with low-profile tyres.

Safety should never be a luxury. With so much power in your hands, it’s comforting to know the Legend has safety to match. Honda innovations like Advanced Compatibility Engineering and G-Force Control technology provide outstanding structural safety. These combined with multiple airbags and active front head restraints, deliver optimum occupant protection in the event of a collision. What’s more, a rear-mounted video camera and in-dash monitor provides a better view when reversing. And then of course there’s SH-AWD giving you not only incredible handling, but also keeping you anchored firmly to the road.

Advanced Compatability Engineering (ACE). To complement the high performance of the Legend, it has a highly rigid body structure which utilises Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) principles. The ACE structure helps to disperse collision forces over a larger frontal area for greater protection for vehicle occupants while at the same time increasing compatibility with other vehicles in a frontal collision.

Extensive use of high-tensile steel and lightweight aluminium components take construction beyond conventional safety protocols while keeping weight in check and providing a solid platform.

Reversing Camera. The reversing camera is automatically activated when 'reverse' gear is selected. An external camera mounted over the number plate assembly sends an image to the dash-mounted colour screen to make parking safer.

Anti-lock brakes. In addition to Anti-lock brakes (ABS), we've included Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) to spread optimal braking force between front and rear. The Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) function increases braking output in emergency conditions.

Popup bonnet. In the event of a collision with a pedestrian, a pyrotechnic actuator is triggered which lifts the bonnet by 100 mm. This creates a clearance between the metalwork and engine bay, reducing pedestrian head injuries.

G-Con. Developed at Honda's real World car-to-car test facility, G-force Control protection exceeds governmental regulations and sets its own safety standard.
